The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.
Applications at the moment are open and will shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should fulfill the following requirements:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a home with a combined gross house earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined home profits will not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and want not submit any proof of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent residents from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for my nsfas each annum.
Applicants are reminded to deliver the proper Identity Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected of their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are studying or intend to study at a nsfas 2025 general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
